Thanks again.  I was looking at the topos on a couple of different sites.  Once I figure out where I'm going (my wife says hell if I don't mend my ways  Wink, I'll get some ordered.

Stay warm.....Mike

OPP maps?  Why would anyone produce them with such a TINY market.  There is literally almost no one paddling this park.

My solution was to produce my own (based on all the intel I could find).  I might bring the electronic version of these maps to our gathering.  Sounds like my traveling companions (Jimbo & Magic) might be contemplating a return visit.

I think we were told that only four people, including us, paddled that park the year we went in!

Going back? Maybe. I was reading an article about “brain science” recently which concluded that humans tend to allow bad experiences to fade from memory while holding on, hopefully, to the more positive aspects of an event.   I remember the fishing and the exploration quite fondly. Nevertheless, my note pads are replete with references to “Biblical-level” plagues of mosquitoes and wind gusts out of “The Wizard of Oz”!

Maybe, if I keep my reading to a minimum, I’ll have nerve enough to go back!

Jimbo.  Cool

When I looked for that park in the info I posted the only thing I could see clearly is that fly-in fishing camp/outfitter. My graphics card isn't very good but I think you could make a map from there IF you can get a better definition than I could?

The above link references a map that I did which gives you an overall perspective from "10,000 feet."  However, I also developed maps that can be produced at a tighter scale.  I generally produce 1:35000 scale for overall usefulness while not creating a large number of printable pages.

I started printing off and producing my own as well.  I'll bring them along to CI&S.  I'm going to target August 2020 for a three week trip in there.
Later.......Mike

Jimbo.  That's one of the reasons I like to trip in mid/late August......almost no bugs!  Some of the fish camps tend to slow down around then as well.  Looking forward to hear about your fishing in OPP.
Later.......Mike
