Once again, the time is coming for the Fall Outdoor Adventure Expo, November 22-24 at Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis. Cool It's a great opportunity to hear a wide variety of speakers discussing adventures around the globe. It's a different experience than Copia and is more personal and you won't be stampeded by hordes of people. The speakers have a full hour, so they can better cover their topics. Best of all, it's FREE! Cool

I will be presenting, Alaska DIY! Alaskan River Fishing! at the end of the day 4:45 pm, on Saturday, November 23, in Hanson Hall, Room 104. Arrive early to get a seat. My presentations usually are full. Cool

Alaska is a scenic, vast and varied land with over 3000 rivers! That’s more fishing opportunities than one can experience in a lifetime. This opportunity explains why so many people have Alaska on their bucket lists. The reality is that if you visit once, and experience this fantastic fishing, you will be hooked, and want to return year after year.
Rich Williamson first visited Alaska in 2004, wet a line, and has been returning time and again to visit The Great Land. He fishes with his son-in-law and grandkids who live in Wasilla, AK. The fishing in Alaska is totally different than most fishing in the lower 48. Rich will teach you what you need to know to be a successful angler in the Land of the Midnight Sun.
Rich will discuss appropriate tackle for salmon and trout fishing, including methods, tactics, and a few tricks to entice the bite. He will share some critical knowledge to understanding how to time your trips to be there when the fish are present. There are many ways to access this fantastic fishing; air, roads, wading, canoes, kayaks, rafts, boats & motors, among them. Rich will also discuss what you can do with your catch.
Rich is an Alaska Certified Expert, and a member of the Alaska Tourism Industry Association. As such, he is uniquely qualified to share his experience and knowledge of some cost-saving information to experience all that Alaska has to offer. He can be contacted at: alaskadiyguy@yahoo.com .

I will be distributing free copies of my guide, Alaska Travel, Paddling, & Fishing On the Cheap. It's a compilation of great resources. Cool

A change of plans. That's why we make plans, to change them. Wink

I will not be presenting on Alaska Fishing, but will instead be presenting on some fantastic Alaska Trips that are good options for the first-time visitor or the seasoned visitor. I will provide guidance to See Alaska Like a Local. I've been visiting Alaska over ten years and enjoy assisting others in shortening the learning curve and saving a few bucks.

Areas I will cover:
1) The Inside Passage on the Alaska Ferry, SE Alaska.
2) Prince William Sound, Valdez & more.
3) Kenai Peninsula, Alaska's Playground.
4) Denali NP, Talkeetna & more.

I hope you can come out Saturday! It looks to be a nice day. The time and location are the same as previously posted. I will be in Hanson Hall most of the day at my Alaska Travel Information display. Hope to see you! Cool
