HighnDry,
Stu from the BWJ, despite the fact that he has used nearly a dozen of mine over the years. Interestingly enough, nearly half of those pics have ME in them, a feat requiring exceptional photography skills (or sloppy crediting; I prefer the former explanation, of course)!
Pics were taken on my Samsung Galaxy S21 which, as you know, went largely "unpowered" for several days due to technical "charging" problems. Happily, those issues were resolved and I did manage to snap a few shots... including one "supernatural shot", taken that one spooky evening, after the big storm. That was just pure luck, of course, having the phone/camera up & running when the anomaly occurred.
On a side note, since our return, I have been asked, "Jimbo, wasn't it a bit unusual for you to be doing a base-camp trip? Don't you usually do much more ambitious treks?" So far, my response has been, "Well, um, we DID move camp once, about a 1/2 mile away, across the bay." Perhaps a more satisfying explanation can be found in the picture, shown below. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words... OR, aptly enough, in this case, a thousand pounds (not including canoes, pakboats & people... two of whom whose Chota portage boots had disintegrated by Day Two):
Later,
Jimbo
