Sorry to hear this Jimbo but it's a good call in your situation.  We will all miss you there for sure.   Smiley

While we hope no one else needs to cancel, if you do, please let them and me know that it’s due to coronavirus concerns. Our rate depends on numbers and they need to know that corona is the reason so we are not penalized. Thanks! Cool

I don't mean to be a party-pooper guys but I've decided NOT to attend Copia this year.  Please remove me from meal lists, etc.. This is a hard decision for me as our Copia get-togethers are a bright spot in my year.

My situation is a bit similar to Jimbo's, but I'm not making the call until Monday.  SXSW's cancellation yesterday has all but put a nail in my decision (which today stands about 80/20 for staying home).

Then, yesterday, the CDC's announcement that individuals over 60 should not be in large groups (e.g., on airplanes, in large family gatherings, attending religious services, etc.) due to the increased exposure level for those whose immune systems might be compromised.  I'm WELL past 60, supposed to fly on an airplane to Madison (with a stop each way at an international airport), potentially attending a large gathering and my immune system isn't what it used to be.

So, I'll see if anything breaks in the next couple of days.

I will definitely advise meal planners and the motel that I'm not coming because of coronavirus if the call goes that way.  (I hope I'm not also eating an airline ticket!)

I have a feeling the show attendance will be way down this year.  Which is good news for those who do go.

Saw on ebay that a bottle of purell is going for $89.   Tongue  Something tells me there will be ALL KINDS of new products for sanitization on the market soon.  It's the American way.  Wink

This is posted on the Canoecopia website. You might want to check it if you’re undecided about coming to Copia.

My Damned Luck.....I finally get a kitchen pass for a 2 day stay at Copia with some real QJ time, and the virus of the decade settles in to drop a cloud over the festivities.

OK...I,m done grousing now.   Still planning to attend.

We're down in San Diego visiting.  Looking at my better half this morning I think she came down with the Corona virus after she drank three of them and two shots of tequila yesterday in Tijuana.  She looks pretty bad but she may pull through.   Cool

Many years ago in "The Teenage Times" I contracted the dreaded Mad Dog 20/20 virus.   I did kill me for about 3 days.
