I'm a big fan of a Swedish Torch for a camp/cook fire that you DON'T have to tend regularly.

Traditionally they used vines/wire etc or pounded the wood into ground/snow to hold its shape.
I brought a small piece of light chain with S hooks but only used in once on my Fubar Trip.

One of the problems is that as the wood burns the bundle wants to loosen/fall apart.

Some clever outdoors person came up with a solution. I was going to DIY one, but when I priced the material it was damn near what this one cost.

I ordered one and think others might like it if the idea of a NO tend long-lasting fire with just ONE decent piece of log sounds good to you.

IF you cook on fire this is a great way to do it too.
