The one I have is the 'new as of last year's Canoecopia' Big Agnes Skyline UL.  The thing I like best about it over the comparable Helinox/REI models is that there are NO plastic knuckle joints - everything is metal.  That makes it more sturdy, less 'wobble' if you will.  Less likely to break, IMO and without that bulk, it weighs less and packs down smaller. Another thing I found is that you sit more upright in it, less reclined, which makes it easier to get up from and to do things like cook/eat while seated.  I had it out on both my Q trips last summer and LOVE it - performed flawlessly. 

The Big Six Camp Chair is the comp to the Helinox Sunset - same price point.  I imagine it has the same advantages over the Sunset. I looked at that one too, last year, but didn't want to carry the extra weight/size over the Skyline UL. If you decide to get one, wait til REI has a 20% coupon/sale and save yourself $30.

I also picked up the Woodchuck table over Xmas for the same reasons and plan on taking it on trail this summer as well.

As much as I love all the design and engineering aimed at a useful purpose, I wouldn't trade in my old rocking recliner for anything I've seen since I scoffed at the kid size lawn chairs that were in high demand on our early group trips.

Honestly, the lawn chairs kept the bilge water out of 'not exactly water proof' packs.

Fellow QJ members have mentioned that some chairs like this sit you so low that it's a pain to get out of them because your knees are higher than your hips. This chair has adjustable legs. I like the highest setting because it puts my hips higher than knees. I find that more comfortable for me.

Some of these chairs have a very narrow footprint.
That necessitates buying or DIY some footpad to keep you sinking in soft dirt.

This chair had rubber footpads that are about 1 1/4 inch wide. I sat in my yard and they didn't sink in enough to be an issue.

Another neat thing is they put pull loops on the top corners so you don't have to fight to get poles in the pockets. Put lower pocket poles in first and then do each top corner. No fighting at all.

It has mesh pockets on both sides of the chair as well as mesh sides on the chair seat itself. I will spray the fabric with Permethrin because I think the skeeters might be able to get you through that mesh?
  I like the mesh, it keeps you cool in warm weather.

  The chair is made in China which I don't like BUT they all are, so what can you do.

The company Trekology that designs them is in Portland Oregon.

At $50, I think they are at least worth a look at.
Big Agnes is considered by many to be the standard for chairs like this. IF weight it a MAJOR consideration then the Big Agnes similar chair IS lighter. Big Agnes has a #275 weight limit this has #300.

I don't doubt that BUT at 2x the price, I seriously doubt you're getting 2x the quality.

  I should thank you PD, I didn't realize they made those camping tables. That aluminum top is nice if you put your stove on top.

I use my breakfast/lunch 5 gal DIY food bucket as my tabletop but when I go kicking and screaming into the base camping world, a nice little table would be nice.

  If you decide to get one of those PLUS chairs, post your thoughts on it for the price point?
