A two pound Hedge Apple flung by a decent arm would take a 6 year old right off his feet, and keep him there long enough for the flinger to reload and get another shot off.

This was also a forerunner of PaintBall, as the round green projectile would leave a huge gob of the white sticky gunkus on the victim,  that resides inside of all Hedge Apples.

Now we return to your regular programming.
