Don't be deceived by today's POD.  This is NOT a real red squirrel stash.  Rather, it is a diabolical trap set by a nefarious red squirrel hunter.  If you look carefully, you might see the faintest outlines of his hair-triggered, spring-loaded trap, set just beneath the pine cones.

It cost PineKnot two broken fingers and a few lacerations but he finally got the thing just right!

db, I don't suppose you have one of those laceration pics available for display, do you?

I believe what we have here, OS, is a rare vintage photograph of that legendary Canadian folk hero, Dumpster Bob.

Dumpster Bob is kind of like an American Johnny Appleseed.  In his case, he wanders around park campsites (predominantly in Ontario) making withdrawals - not deposits like JA - of the trash that campers have left behind.  Once he has accumulated sufficient quantities, he makes a BIG campfire, burns it all, and throws a party for everyone who might be in the vicinity.

Dumpster Bob is a true Canadian icon.  I am quite impressed that our very own DB got invited to one of these parties & managed to snap a photograph of this wilderness superhero in action.  A veritable collectors' item pic!

Today's POD matches the weather outside my home right now. Get out of the wind and hunker down.

I have some Rapala floating lures in Black and Silver but no jointed ones. Will have to get some.
