That's an interesting point. I've long been aware of the white belly/black back phenomenon, but I've never thought about the implications you have described. The concept works well for surface diving predators as well as the prey, but does it make sense for a lure?

I'll be very interested in the results of your science project. Why should we make our lures difficult for fish to detect? It may be nautural, but does it make sense for anglers?
