Thanks for the input! I've actually camped on the site you're speaking of and agree it's a darned good one (though a bit "exposed" in a violent thunderstorm, as I found out). Looks like a great jumping off point for a good 4 or 5 distinct day trips. Also, the water around there would give us a shot at all four of the game fish we're after. That ought to satisfy three boys who want to explore and fish....

I guess I'll save the more rugged "swampy, buggy, less scenic" Badwater circuit for a trip I'm trying to get up with some adult guys in the Fall. If I don't do at least one "bust my tail" trip every couple years, I get a little stale (and it's been a couple years since I did the Cache Lake/Cache River route...).
