Kim: I've yet yo do the Yum Yum however I've done a lot of research and am taking it next year. First I'd suggest that you plan to take it coming from the North and going south. More downhill that way. Next there is a big cliff that overlooks a bog. The "bog" was the primary poor spot in the portage however the park staff have routed the portage around the bog!.
