Portage Description:
We camped on Ensign at the site closest to the portage and started the last day of our trek with the portage. We were able to paddle our fully loaded canoe with three people through easily, but there were large submerged boulders everywhere. The person in the bow needs to be very alert. The portage is far enough away from the canoe bases that it isn't constantly in use, but there is still a fair amount of traffic through it. There is a great place to cliff jump near the portage on Ensign if you are into that kind of thing.
