- 250ml(1 cup) of flour
- a big pinch of salt
- 10ml(2 tsp.) of baking powder
- 15ml(1 tsp.) margarine
- 125ml(1/2 cup) of milk
- a bowl, frying pan, fork
STEP 1: Combine all dry ingredients into a bowl.
STEP 2: Use a fork to stir in margarine & milk. Stir until most of the lumps are out.
STEP 3: With floured fingers, make 3 cm(1 inch) thick loaf.
STEP 4: Push dough into ungreased pan. Bake 7-8 minutes on each side.
STEP 5: Enjoy with butter, jam, peanut-butter or marmalade.
Do not over cook! Use margarine to grease pan before placing the bannock
into the pan.
