Recipes for the Boundary Waters and Quetico


Cinnamon Buns

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbs. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • flour for rolling
  • 1 tbs. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Cooking instructions:
Slowly add water to Bisquick to form dough, and roll out on floured canoe paddle. Spread margarine onto flattened surface (a paddle works well), sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins. Roll into a log and slice 1-inch slices and place them in oiled oven. Cover and bake over low heat for 7-8 minutes.

Try adding dried fruit or nuts while adding the raisins.

Excellent for a morning where you have time to cook or for a sweet snack. There delicious!
