When Scott Ogi asked if he could send a picture of a very large Smallmouth Bass from the Boundary Waters I said: "Sure!" Who knew so many people would add their own pictures and this would become one of everyone's favorite areas of QuietJourney?

Allen Holbrook sent a few pictures from a June trip up the Quetico's Maligne River. It looks like Jake Burnett has taken up flying as well. Hey let's be careful out there. Here is a western Quetico trip from Paul Lennemann.

Along with a few Boundary Waters scenes, Jim DeVries sent us this shot of himself as a boy at Silver Rapids Lodge in Ely and one of his daughter near the same spot 30 years later. Sounds like a very nice tradition. Harry Swallow sent in this image, and 20 more photos from his 1999 and 2000 Quetico Trips. Jake Burnett's shots remind us that falls are not something to simply portage around. They are places to enjoy - and wet a line.
