I did Lakes One, Two, Three, Hudson and Insula with two other guys in early October two years ago. This trip would suit your plan nicely. I have avoided this area in the past because I have heard it is usually quite crowded. However, in October this is not a problem - most of the groups that we saw were hunting moose. The only potential drawback to this route is that it is an in-and-out, not a loop. But it is a beautiful area. Two years ago the weather was unusually warm - in the sixties every day. I never wore all the wool that I brought along, but its better to be prepared. Oh, yeah. One more thing. If you go there, be sure to bring a compass. There are lots of small islands that don't appear on maps. It is highly advisable to travel by compass direction rather than just following map features.
