Owen, As a matter of fact, I've had that exact strip on my on my fridge for 10 years, We wanted to surprise you and add it to the site, but unfortunately, permission to include it was declined by the copyright owners (Universal Press Syndicate). "Please remove any images you may have already installed." Evidently Mr. Watterson is "of firm belief that such use of his characters makes them both less effective and less interesting as residents of a comic strip environment." Although we disagree, we are following this request. Just to set the record straight... It starts with the Dad pulling the canoe to shore after landing: "Ta da! We're here" Son: "Good ol' "Itchy Island" home of the nuclear mosquitoes." Dad: "Bug bites build character." Son: "Yeah, and last year you said diarrhea builds character." Dad: "So think what a fine young man you're growing up to be." Son: "...if all this character doesn't kill me first." We were unable to contact Bill Watterson directly, but if you read this Bill, I hope you will reconsider.
