All this bug talk reminds me of a Calvin & Hobbs cartoon I saw a long time ago. They were canoe camping. Calvin (the little boy) was complaining to his dad about the bugs. His dad replied: "Bugs build character son." The last frame shows a dejected Calvin, walking away mumbling: "Last year he told me diarrhea builds character.”
