Well, we have completed the top to bottom and back up trip. We put in at Stanton Bay on Pickerel Lake and made Cairn Lake the first night. The second night we made North Bay and the third, we made the northwest corner of Kawnipi Lake. After being held up by high winds and what I thought were monstrous waves on Pickerel the fourth afternoon, we made it out at French Lake shortly after 9 pm the fourth night. Although this not what I would choose to do every time,I am left with a tremendous feeling of accomplishment and physical exhaustion. If anyone is interested I'll be happy to provide more detail. Quetico is truly a unique and wonderful place. Its majestic beauty, raw landscape, and mood swings that can be dangerous or warmly inviting make her a special place. I am thankful for the opportunities I have had to visit her. I would like to say more but need to go. Any comments?
