Kudos on your accomplishment. Pretty impressive! How many canoes/people were in you're group? What time did you start? How light did you pack? How endless did the Pickerel River seem? Would you do anything differently "next time"?

If you feel like it I'd be glad to add a trip journal in the "Around Camp ~ Stories" section of QuietJourney. I'm sure it would be interesting. (Although I still think you're nuts.)

In a way I'm glad to learn it was Pickerel that reminded you exactly who was in charge. She can and will demand due respect at a moment's notice. She develops those big waves even in a gentle breeze, often with confusing cross waves, and she provides few places to hide. BTW - If you click the Maple leaf (home) at any time in Trip 1 you can see Pickerel when she wants to be nice.
