I think you're right, Bill. My maps show a Lake Agnes in the BWCA south of the east end of La Croix and an Agnes Lake (and the one I was talking about) in eastern Quetico and accessible from Moose Lake.

The confusion may arise from the fact that a route into Lake Agnes can be had from Nina-Moose Lake and a route into Agnes Lake exists from Moose Lake!

There are a fair number of same and similarly-named lakes up in canoe country...
