Are we talking about the same lake? I don't have a map in front of me, but I recall a Lake Agnes in the BWCA (which I think Ken and Don are referring to) and also in Quetico (which I think Tom is referring to). I could be wrong about that, but the proximity to Lac La Croix is making me think that is the case, because the one in Quetico is quite some distance from La Croix.

Meg, if you ARE referring to the Quetico lake, I was there last August, and would be glad to tell you what I know about it. My frame of reference is rather small however, since that was my first trip, but it was an excellent experience. Let me know if you want more info.
