Indeed my fellow voyageurs, with out exception, clearly my most terrifying experience while canoeing was the day I met the Paddling Bear of the Great North. To do the story justice, I must ask that you read the full text version on the BWCA bulletin board site. To recount the entire story once again here would simply tax my patience. Suffice to say, the day I encountered the Paddling Bear of the Great North was terrifying and yet it was wonderfully mystical...a day I shall never forget.
