Thanks, I'm glad you did. I enjoyed your story. The aurora is like that; one night you look up and there it is. I'm hoping to show it to my wife on our trip this summer, but I won't hold my breath. You never know when it will appear unless you are far enough north to be almost certain to see it.

It really can be amazing. Even if the 'lights' are not visible, the night sky on a truly clear and dark, moonless night, in a place far away from civilization's light pollution, is an awesome thing to behold. It's one reason I choose to visit when the moon is not out at night.
