Re: Quetico-Jean-Boulder-Your-Fair-Badwater

There's a decent island campsite in the last bay before you leave Jean. There used to be monstrous series of beaver dams @ the bottom of that creek but it came loose/washed out/was destroyed . What once was an easy juant up to Boulder was no longer the case some 3 yrs. ago when I went through but it's still doable & maybe the beaver have restored their dams in the last couple of yrs. There's an ok camp on Boulder & a nice island campsite on Your in the western strech before it opens up into the last bay . Badwater portage rec'vd major improvement 3 yrs ago & last yr. those improvements were still holding . It's still a full mile with some grade & bogs where serious mosquitoes will greet you . Good idea to hit it empty . One of the most scenic high camps in the park is across from the bay that heads to Omeme . Another camp with similar altitude is just as West Bay necks down into Quetico .
