1) Actually I'm not sure! ;-) Well OK, I have ONE expensive rod, Well, actually it's a handmade rod. BUT, I do not suggest anyone spending $$ in the effort to catch more fish!
Seriously, I think the make of a rod(unless in the hands of a master) is less important than the knowledge of what species, he/she is after.
2) I haven't tried them. I have heard strong pros and cons on them and am satisfied with the fish I catch so I figure, why spend more money.
3) While I have 1, I can create pretty much the same action with other lures. I don't feel ANY lure is the "magic" lure.
