Thats a nice size fish.

I've seen the monsters & had them hit & miss my lures, but have yet to catch one. Just one more reason to go paddlin one more time........................

Just a suggestion but the Darky Flows toward Minn. It's going to be a much easier trip going From Darky to Minn. You could come up through Argo into that area and exit through Minn. Water level will play a role also, we were able to wade/walk the canoes through many of the portages, saving time and energy. Some parts of the river were 15' wide and others 600' wide. Floating down with the current we encountered grass beds loaded with schools of various species and sizes of fish. One area reminded us of the everglades and looked to be a natural fish hatchery! The personality of the river changed around every bend.............
