My rods are all graphite composites. They are a little more sensitive to light hiits. I take 3 with me. 1 rigged up with 6# mono for jigging for walleye and bass. 1 rigged up with 10# mono for casting lures for northerns, walleyes, and bass. The third rod is along as a backup and is loaded with 8# mono. I took Fireline on one trip and was very dissapointed with it. It is not very abrasion resistant and the Quetico rocks kept putting weak spots in the line. I had to keep retieing constantly and still lost some lures that I shouldn't have. It also is easy for pike to bite through. Posted by Quetico Fan on February 21, 2000 at 12:06 In reply to: Fishing equipment posted by Owen on February 18, 2000 at 14:38 |
