What is bear spray? We have made 2 trips, with another planned for August 2000. We have tended to stay on islands, but have used a few mainland sites also. We hang our food high, and include anything else that may have an odor: toothpaste, ointments, medicines, soap, etc. No problems so far. Cleanliness seems to be the key.
