Thanks again, Kim, for the valuable info. The route you described, across Adele, and Doctor Lakes is exactly the trip I had in mind. I guess I had the parking areas confused. I have a few different maps of the area. So, are the portages maintained between lakes? They don't look like they would be very long. I would like to take my daughters, ages 9 and 13. They are experianced at canoeing and backpacking, and love to go camping as often as I will take them. (And they're not afraid to pee in the woods!!) I'm just not sure the terrain in this area would be too rough for them. I will be portaging the canoe and all of the heavyiest gear. Do you think this is feasible or should I look for an easier spot?
