Re: Trip to Quetico

The map in Beymer's book cuts off the far northern tier of lakes, but it covers the other 90% of Quetico. I have purchesed many maps from Canoe Canada Outfitters in Atikoken. They have maps of the whole park that I like a lot. They also have larger scale maps (Fisher, etc.) Their phone 3 is 807-597-6418. The Ministry of Natural Resources also have maps of the whole park as well as larger scale maps of Quetico broken into 4 quadrants. These are sattelite image maps that take some getting used to but I like them. You can order these from 807-597-2735. For permits you can call 888-668-7275. This is better to do yourself because if your chosen entry point is booked for that day, you can have them check around immediately for any other available entry points.
Hope this helps
