I've used all 3 solutions you mentioned. They are a pain to dry out, don’t burn very well, and I know that burying them is not a good solution. I applaud your concern for the people who follow you. I wish more people considered that all their actions affected their fellow campers for years to come. I would suggest taking them with you until you can either burn them or throw them in an actual, civilized garbage can. Why tempt fate unless you scatter them in somewhere so far away that there is no chance that a hungry bear would associate that wonderful smell with campers or the places they frequent.
