I to have many lakes which I like to draw water from and those that I don't. The lakes that I like the best are Man Chain, Kashahapiwi, and Burke Lakes. The one I really disliked and it is a big lake to, is Saganogons Lake. It has been a few years since I've been that way but the water had that rum color to it too and as I recall it was kind of a sour taste. I wonder though, could it be the time of year or maybe have something to do with the kind minerals in those areas?
