Seems like a lot of paddling and portaging for an 8 day trip. We're old. We took 2 days to get to the top of the 4th falls on our way west.

Are you tripping, or are you planning to fish a lot? June weather can also be a challenge - windbound is something to consider.

Have you been across the Silver Falls Portage = 140 rods (or so), followed by 75 rods across Boundary Point. The first 3 falls portages aren't bad (all < 50 rods), but they're time consuming, coming so close together. I can't speak for the rest of the trip, but there's 4 more falls (I'm sure you know) just to get to Kawnipi.
