I went that way in spring 10 years ago - as far as Darky.

I THINK we just paddled up Brewer rapids and there were 3-4 motor boats fishing at the portage to McAree. We renamed Pond lake "Fishless" but you results may vary. The portage from Pond to Gratton is a killer. See http://www.quietjourney.com/forum/messages/582.html or search the forum for Gratton. It has links to info on Brent also. If you stop to camp on Wicksteed and go out for an evening paddle, be sure to know where you are. All those islands look the same. And don't miss the pictographs on Darky. I stole (oh oh) the QJ logo from part of the northern most site.
