Just count your blessings that you shot yourself with the pepper spray in your right hand and not the Glock in your left.

I'm serious here. While you were trying to zip yourself out of your tent with a gun in one hand and an aerosol can in the other, and thinking about facing down a bear, were you CONCIOUSLY taking safety percautions to keep from shooting yourself with the gun? If you weren't then you were d*** lucky, and there's no room for luck in gun safety. It's things like this that give credence to the caricature of the careless gun owner and legitamatize the anti-gun lobby.
