Try the Falls where Cache River spills into Kawnipi right around dinner time... especially if the water level has been high and the water frothing. Just after the late ice-out of May'96, my brother and I hit a couple great hours of Northern & Walleye fishing using plugs pitched into the base of the falls. Interestingly enough, the bites ceased as soon as the sun dipped below the trees... not what I expected of the Walleyes. There's a pretty nice campsite right there at the Falls, too.
