We did the Lerome-Cirrus trip to a basecamp on Soho in May one year. There is a good spot to park at the ramp just off the Hwy. There are a lot of short easy portages, although on the way out the uphill portage out of Cirrus was a b-buster. We really only fished Soho hard, but the fishing was great for smallmouth and wallyee, ok for lake trout. 6 inch Rapala worked the best, pulled just under the surface.

It's a nice trip.
