I spent two days fishing Malberg two years ago in September. It has a good reputation for walleye and we caught a few, but nothing worth writing home about. There are several narrow channels in the lake and we did our best fishing the mouths of these channels. As an aside, we had a rather uncomfortable bear encounter on Koma. We later learned there was a nuisance bear that had been making the rounds to campsites on the lake. Good fishing.
