Check out "gear.com" for the Marmot-made offering of a Goretex rain jacket. If you can split for just $12 more, you can walk away with a pretty durable-feeling, breathable garment. I've comfortably weathered the last few days of monsoon weather here in MN in the Marmot that arrived last week....
