Hey Gang,

Every year at this time I start pining away for some nice sexy Gore-Tex, but the bank account won't handle the job. I had a miserable experience with a Stearns rain suit one year - it split and I had to wear it backwards the whole trip to keep at least part of me warm! Sounds funny now, I agree...Help me out here, any suggestions for a GOOD breathable rain jacket for under $100? I've heard about some new stuff out there, but haven't found something I'm sure about - I spent $179 on a Columbia jacket only to spend a miserable long weekend never drying out underneath it - STUPID STUPID STUPID. I like the fringe months, May and October, so do need something breathable I think. Help?
