My fishing partner has a FishEasy, so I'm sure we'll compare them in the field and see how they stack-up. I already know his is too big to fit in his pack.

As suggested, I checked the Vexilar website and ordered a reconditioned unit for $230. If they don't have it in stock, then I'll have to cancel and pay retail-ouch! That's an extra $50 with another $18 for tax.
The truth is that I really haven't noticed any significant increase in our fishing success comparing trips when we have a finder vs. not, but it would be nice to know the fish are down there. Especially the Lakers.
