After subscribing for about a dozen years I enjoyed your assessment. It simply is what it is. The biggest improvement I've welcomed over the years is the reduced ratio of pictures of guys holding fish to other canoe country scenes. It's still very disappointing when the article gives elaborate descriptions and talks about photographing these beautiful or rare occurrences and the picture presented is a huge shot of a gull. Arrrgh! It sure saps the author's credibility, along with my imagination.

I liked and even still remember 10 year old articles by Dave and Beth Buckley. I don't recall seeing anything from them in a long time. Perhaps I just don't look hard enough any more.

I'd be happy to add any rejected articles someone may have lying around to the stories area. After all that work it might be nice if somebody was able to read 'em.
