Steve: In regards to the live bait, there are no restrictions in BWCA that I am aware of. And, if it just the three of you I would look at approx. 1 pound of leeches per week. Transport them in a leech locker and in-tow behind the canoe. (Make sure the lids on tight) Also, overnight make sure that it is "Turtle Proof." They can empty a leach locker in a few minutes.
