Two years ago, I did a trip and stayed at Gaskin - We had great success in fishing (walleye and Pike) and a great campsite (one of my top five in all the BW). The site on Gaskin is the westernmost site, sort of near the portage. It is on a point and will be on your left as you head to the western end of the lake. There are some small islands (exposed rocks more than anything else) that form a 100 yrd radius semicircle around the shoreline of the site. Walleye were on the northern shore in a small 'half-bay' across from one of the islands maybe a half the way down the lake(I don't have a map with me - sorry). Also, found big pike (est. 36-38" along the northen shore on the west end). Gaskin is a great lake - I would highly recommend it. johnny Posted by johnny on May 24, 2001 at 17:20 In reply to: poplar lake entry posted by stevedug on May 22, 2001 at 12:02 |
