Guys, 10 years or so ago a very experienced guide Andy Hill asked me a question. Why do you feel the need to have a ground cloth? Well heck I've always used one. It helps keep me dry. HOG WASH ! The soil in the Q area is very sponge like. If there is water under the tent, the soil will quickly pull it away. If there is a ground cloth, it will trap the water or moisture from being pulled away. I haven't used one since, and have never been wet.
