It was back in 1995 but I walk the portage from That Man to the unnamed lake east of Emerald. The portage was mostly up hill coming from That Man as I recall. Haden't been used much at all, all growed up as such. The lake appeared to be passable but is was swampy like conditions along the portage edge. The Man Chain are great lakes to fish I've caught smallies in all of them. Although I think Other Man is the best. But I can tell you that No Man is good too.I've been on every single portage in this area except the other to Emerald Lake and the ones to Blackstone during the fire in 95 we were stuck in the area for 8 days so we looked at all the lakes.
