I use to do that trip 10-15 years ago. Pickeral has turned into a highway since then. It is a beautiful paddle, but you will see your fair share of fellow paddlers. If your looking for solitude, head to Jake Lake in Caribou Widerness Park, Northwest of Quetico. We were in for 10 days and only saw 2 campers the whole trip. We bumped into them on the way out. Big Pike and Bigger Trout!
