Ahhh, finally a post worth responding to. Creature comforts, eh? How do you portage all of that crap? 2 sleeping bags? You probably canoe for half a day, find a camp and leech onto it for a week. The more people like "fred" that venture into the WILDERNESS with their packs full of "the city comforts", the further north real woodsmen will have to go! A shower? If you cant get enjoyment from bathing in 70* water, stick to the Boundary waters cup cake. You probably bring a fillet knife with batteries and a weeks worth of "Martha Stewart Living".
