My husband has made several trips to BWCAW/Quetico and has
begged me to go on numerous occasions. He made his first
trip in the late 70's. After 30+ years of trying to get me to go with him, I "gave in" and went to Quetico in June of
this year. Granted it would have probably been easier on me physically if I hadn't waited until I was past 50 to try it, but I'm proud to say I survived - loved it - and he'll have a hard time getting away without me in the future. My only regret is that I wasted all those opportunities thinking I couldn't handle being in the wilderness and away from civilization. We've already starting planning next years trip - I have some lost time to make up!!
